Nasya
Nasya involves administration of medicines through the nose. Nasya may be composed of medicated oil or ghee, fresh juice of herbs, and decoction of herbs or fine powders of herbo-mineral medicines. The dose and frequency of usage is decided on case to case basis
It can be given up to 30 days depending on the disease.
Depending on the constituents, Nasya treatment works by either cleansing accumulated Kapha toxins from the head and neck region, palliating the local doshas, or nourishing the internal parts of the head. It can be used for wide range of diseases like:
